Yokai had started migrating out of their graves and spreading around the globe worldwide like a plague, causing mayhem on every corner of Earth. As a result, death and suicide rates worldwide had increased drastically, causing global devastation. As an attempt to get rid of the cursed and make them go to rest, Yokai Hunters became high-paying jobs and are assigned to investigate haunted or cursed areas and find spirits to contain them or make them ‘go away’ from causing more harm—whether it be trapping them in urns or vases for god knows how long, doing spiritual rituals to make them go to a indefinite rest, or literally killing them by using special weapons designed to kill spirits and ghosts—though that option is frowned upon outside American.However, the problem is that lately people are going around selling these cursed Yokai in those urns or in objects in high prices, making the problem worse as the spirit’s aura attracts negativity and misfortune coming their way. Cassie, a naive filipino boy—was one of the people who had bought a ‘cursed plush’ from the supermarket as a joke, not knowing the dangers he will bring home.
